Increase Your Visibility With Inbound Links

The Page Rank

What is a page rank and why is it important? The page rank of a website is a term and a measurement created by Google, to evaluate the the importance of a sites content that best matches your search. Basically the system works similar to that of a "popular vote". Google will interpret a link from "page1" to "page2" as a vote, by page1 for page2. However, Google will look at more than just the number of links a page has acquired. For example; Google will analyze the pages that are casting the "vote". The pages that themselves have a high importance will be "weighed" more heavily thus making the other pages important. Likewise, if the page has a low importance, then they will be weighed less which can effect your page rank negatively.

In other words, the higher the page rank of a site that links to yours, the higher your page rank will become.
