Planning

Before our initial meeting, we will have you fill out our Project Questionare. This will provide us and you, with a clear understanding, scope and purpose of your site. After we review your questionare and determine if this is for business or pleasure, we will then do one of two things:

Business: We will contact you to setup a meeting and get a precise understanding of your business and brand. We will also work with you to clearly understand your current needs and long-term goals, as well as your buisness operating enviroment. We will define how the success of the project will be measured. During this process we will also outline the schedule and budget.

Pleasure: We will contact you to understand your goals and determine the type of site that is best for you.

Design

This stage in the development process is probably the most complex and time consuming. There are infinate ways you can approach the design stage. However, there are three key points which must be met and understood correctly so that your website becomes the "bleeding edge" of your industry. They are Information Architecture, UI Design & Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Information Architecture: We will work with you to determine the content of the site and how to most effectively present the information to the end-user, you can think of this as your site's foundation or blue print. This will define your website's structure, hierarchy and navigation. We will also dicuss the functional, technical and innovative requirements you may have. Once the architecture is outlined, we will set up a secure portal in which you will be able to access your functional "test" site. The purpose of this phase is to allow you to realize the Wireframe previously presented, which is useful for conveying the general page structure and content requirements for individual pages. During this process we will also discuss a rudimentary UI.

UI Design: Once the information architecture passes your approval, a formal UI Design is then added. Our designers will work with you to build an intuitive and visually attractive interface. An effective UI Design is essential for your customers to not only browse your site, but to ensure that they return as well. You can choose from a list of pre-defined templates or we can create a custom UI tailored to your site.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): This is a vital part of the design process. Search Engine Optimization or SEO, begins by thoroughly analyzing your current status with regards to keyword ranking. In addition we will conduct a complete comprehensive review of your website to see how search engines (SEs) process your code and content. Implementation

At this point in the process we will do the actual coding for the site. This is where the three design specifications are integrated into a functional website. Once the site is completed, we will upload the site to your private portal for useability, cross-platform and functionality testing. As problems are identified we will determine the appropriate solution and implement them for regression testing.

Once the website has passed through all Quality Assurance tests, we will then upload the content to your specified URL. If you are going to maintain the site in-house, a client-side support team will be trained. At this point, your site will also be registed with the major search engines and site performance will be monitored closely.
